MANAGEMENT TEAM

The iPipeline executive team represents some of the most experienced executives and authorities within the insurance and financial services industry.

  • Larry joined iPipeline in 2002 and served as President and CEO of the company through July 2008 when he transitioned to the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer positions in connection with the merger of iPipeline and COSS. Larry was named CEO again in August 2019 in connection with the acquisition of iPipeline by Roper.

    During his tenure, Larry has been a key driver of growing iPipeline from $1 million in revenue with significant losses to over $180 million in revenue and highly profitable. During this time, iPipeline grew its customer base to over 150 insurance companies and over 1,400 distributors including most major banks and financial institutions while also completing 10 strategic acquisitions in the US, UK and Canada.

    Prior to iPipeline, Larry was a Vice President for ICG, where he played an instrumental role in preparing ICG for its 1999 initial public offering. During this time, Larry was directly involved with organizing and implementing ICG's finance function, including raising over $1.6 billion through multiple issuances of publicly traded securities, as well as bank and private financings.

    Larry has also held management positions with Safeguard Scientifics and worked as a CPA with PWC specializing in insurance and financial services. Larry’s prior board and public service have included The Sycamore Group, Philadelphia Children’s Alliance, ARI Mutual Insurance Company, and coaching girls soccer and basketball. Larry currently serves as a board director for Trial Scope and as President of Laurel Ridge HOA.

    Larry graduated in 1993 from La Salle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree. He has two daughters and resides in West Chester, PA.

  • Tim Wallace is a Strategic Advisor to iPipeline and has over 30 years of experience in the software, service, and consulting industry. In 2008, Tim joined iPipeline as CEO with the mission of scaling the company and solidifying iPipeline as an industry leader and innovator. Under his successful leadership, the company grew to be the largest provider of SaaS to the Life and Annuity industry, and was acquired by Roper Technology in 2019. With this change in ownership, Tim pivoted into a Strategic Advisor role, guiding the company in future mergers and acquisitions to continue expanding iPipeline’s market share and influence on the Insurance and Financial Services industry.

    Tim previously served as President and COO of MEDecision Inc., a public software company. Prior to MEDecision, Tim was the CEO and Chairman of FullTilt Solutions, Inc. FullTilt was recognized by Forrester and Gartner Research as the leading enterprise product information management software in the marketplace. Mr. Wallace is a winner of the 2011 Ernst & Young Technology CEO of the Year, the 2013 PACT Enterprise Award for Technology CEO of the Year, and the 2014 Red Herring Top 100 Award.

    Prior to joining FullTilt in 2000, Tim served as CEO of systems integrator XeroxConnect, and as the President and CEO for XLConnect Solutions, Inc., where he was also one of the founders of the company. Tim and other members of the management team took the company public in October of 1996. Xerox acquired XLConnect in June of 1998 for approximately $420 million.

    Tim was formerly a partner in The Waldec Group, a system integration company that was twice on the Inc. 500 list. He previously spent eleven years with Arthur Andersen & Company, where he was Managing Director of the Business Consulting Practice.

    Tim received a Master of Business Administration from Miami University and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has served on the following boards: AccuWeather, BizEquity, FullTilt Solutions, Knova, MEDecision, Migo Software, NitroSecurites, Point.io, Serviceware, Snickelways, and XLConnect.

  • Andrew Damico is a global sales and operations executive with 25+ years of diversified business qualifications acquired in the software and banking industries. His background reflects leadership participation in a successful NYSE IPO as CEO of IntraLinks and a successful Leveraged Buyout as COO of IntraLinks. He has a successful history in guiding teams and departments through change management initiatives, downsizing and reorganizing departments, directing sales and service teams, building and leading global sales teams, aligning teams and departments with corporate goals, and working with colleagues to improve business operations and management. He has built and lead business operations in the UK, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Australia, Canada, and across the US.

  • Bill Atlee founded iPipeline in 1995, creating the first multi-carrier network where distributors and agents could digitally access insurance quotes, check underwriting status, compare product information, and complete electronic applications through cloud-based software.

    Bill’s experience personally selling over 6,000 life insurance policies gives iPipeline an inside perspective on how to create and launch software products that focus around industry behavior. He also has a unique ability to leverage his infamous stickman drawings to depict solutions to the industry’s most complex problems.

    Bill began his career as a life insurance agent with Fidelity Mutual Life where he gained valuable experience in implementing tax, legal, and estate planning techniques for high net worth individuals. In 1992, he founded Direct Quote America, Inc., a nationally licensed brokerage firm that developed one of the industry’s first automated term insurance shopping services. The company enabled consumers to receive quotes and purchase insurance through a call center.

    Today, Bill is a renowned industry speaker, delivering over 200 presentations a year. He is a thought leader that utilizes his decades of industry experience to deliver humor-based messages provoking the financial services industry to advance digitally. As Chief Strategy Officer of iPipeline, Bill drives innovation and go-to-market strategy based on customer needs and industry pain points.

    Bill graduated with a BA in Business Administration from Westminster College.

  • Kevin brings over 20 years of experience in the enterprise software industry. Prior to joining iPipeline, Kevin was an Executive-In-Residence at Warburg Pincus. Prior to Warburg, Kevin was EVP and Managing Director of Safeguard Scientifics (NYSE: SFE), where he led Safeguard’s technology deal team and was responsible for eight of Safeguard’s companies in the enterprise software and internet markets.

    Prior to joining Safeguard, Kevin sourced and managed software investments for Kennet Venture Partners. He previously co-led Broadview’s Silicon Valley team focused on M&A in the software applications market.

    Earlier in his career, he was a Manager in Deloitte’s management consulting practice focusing on IT strategy and implementation projects in the financial services sector. He started his career as a software developer at Salomon Brothers.

    Kevin received his MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and his BE at Vanderbilt University where he double majored in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.

    Kevin has established himself as a leader in the technology industry, having been recognized with the Philadelphia Business Journal’s ’40 under 40’ Award in 2008. Additionally, in 2011, Kevin chaired the technology track of the 2011 IMPACT conference, run by PACT (Greater Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies). He also serves on the IT Investment Advisory Committee for the Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania.

  • Michael Persiano is Chief Marketing Officer at iPipeline. Michael is responsible for international marketing activities encompassing brand management, corporate positioning, demand generation, advertisement, market research, communications, sales enablement, customer advocacy, events management, public relations, and analyst relations. He directs the efforts of teams in North America and the UK.

    Michael has a salient record of performance in building brands and markets for products and services for SMBs and major corporations. His marketing background in diversified industries spans more than 30 years and includes key executive positions at: Lockheed Martin, Computer Sciences Corporation, DecisionOne, FullTilt Solutions, Satori Group, and Fusion Sales Partners. Michael is an invitational member of the CMO Council and CMO Network. He currently serves on the PACT (Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies) Editorial Advisory Board and provides guidance to emerging technology companies on brand and demand-building strategies and tactics.

    Michael was the recipient of a full academic scholarship to Drew University for Ph.D. studies, earned Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts degrees from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and taught business and marketing communications as a Visiting Lecturer at Rutgers University. He is a black-belt in Tae Kwon-Do, an internationally recognized bonsai master, and an extensively published author and poet. Michael and his wife reside in Chester County, PA.

  • Ian Teague is UK Group Managing Director of iPipeline, helping financial businesses move forward in the digital age, adapting their processes and systems as required.

    At iPipeline, Ian is responsible for delivering innovative solutions which dramatically improves the planning, selling and servicing of financial products. Over the past six years, iPipeline has contributed to growing the UK protection market, making insurance more accessible to all, leading to recognition across a variety of industry awards.

    Ian has over 20 years’ experience working within the financial services industry operating at a variety of leadership level roles. His primary focus has been growing revenues and profitability of technology companies within the insurance industry. Ian joined Assureweb in 2008 and was previously Assureweb’s COO and CFO managing commercial and operational aspects of the company that led to its acquisition by iPipeline in 2012, and he led the acquisition of TCP LifeSystems in 2017 providing iPipeline with market-leading new business, underwriting, and administration capability.

    Ian is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (England and Wales) and has served as a Director in various other companies including Vertex Limited, where he played a lead role in the sale of this business to a consortium of Private Equity investors, and various Misys plc companies.

  • Daphne Thomas has 25+ years of experience managing and delivering software projects, working in both large and small environments with diverse teams from all around the globe. She has experience transforming organizations, within both development and services, into high performing teams who deliver on time and within budget.

    In her current role as Chief Transformation Officer at iPipeline, Daphne leads the Professional Services Delivery team, providing consultative services for digital transformation across 8+ product lines. Since joining the iPipeline team, Daphne has grown the Professional Services business from a $1 million organization to over $60 million.

    Prior to joining iPipeline, Daphne was VP of Operations at Miria Systems, an IBM FileNet partner, responsible for delivering ECM solutions to companies such as DHL, and the PA DEP. Earlier, she served as VP of new product Development at Siemens Health Services, where she led a multi-site development team automating the Workflow of Patient Care Information Systems.

    Daphne was born and educated in Dublin, Ireland. She is a Computer Science graduate of Rathmines College, Dublin. She serves as a board member of the Networking Women in Computer Technology and is also a member of the Greater Philadelphia Senior Executive Forum. Her true passion lies in mentoring young women in their careers. Daphne is a popular speaker at many local IT Forums and Conferences. She resides in Eagle, PA with her husband and 4 children.

  • Chris Nichols, Executive Vice President of Research & Development, brings over 24 years of Life Insurance software experience to his role at iPipeline. Joining the team in 2007 as Director of Research & Development, he was quickly recognized as an invaluable asset within the organization, overseeing multiple extensive application platform rewrites and updates, and even leading initiatives for iPipeline Japan.

    Chris became a member of the Life Insurance Software industry in 1995 when he started as a  developer at LifeLink, progressing to a product manager and eventually the Director of Technology. It was in these early stages of his career that he began developing his experience managing products, information technology strategies, and quality assurance.

    In his current role as EVP of Research and Development, Chris has a special focus on DevOps and improving processing within the organization.

    Chris is a graduate of University of Kansas with a Bachelor of General Studies in Environmental Studies. Outside of the office, Chris is an avid trail runner and raises puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind.

  • Eric Rea, VP of Policy Administration at iPipeline, has over 35 years of experience achieving aggressive growth goals and scaling operations and technology in the Insurance and Financial Services sector.

    Before joining iPipeine, Eric developed an impressive reputation as Vice President of Keane Consulting Group. There, Eric lead an innovative Policy Administration System roadmap and execution for a client that achieved transformational outcomes including dramatically improving productivity and customer service. The success of this project resulted in the creation of a spinoff technology services and outsourcing firm dedicated to PAS services.

    At this newly-developed organization, SE2, Eric took on the role of President, growing the firm to $160 million in annual revenue during his ten years of leadership. SE2 implemented groundbreaking technology solutions for life and annuity clients such as MassMutual, Global Atlantic, and Prudential.

    Eric now heads the Policy Administration software services for iPipeline in the United States. He leads the localization of the UK-originated platform, and proudly launched it to two new US clients in its first year stateside. Eric continues to scale the operation and guide the organization on a high-growth path to becoming the US leader in Policy Administration.

    Eric is a graduate of Ursinus College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.

  • John Bryner, Chief Financial Officer at iPipeline, leads the Accounting, FP&A, Human Resources, and Security operations of the organization. John joined the iPipeline team in April 2012 as a Finance Manager, with a strong skillset and business acumen that later helped him advance to Director of Finance, AVP of Finance, and now CFO. Over the course of his time with iPipeline, he has successfully guided the finance organization through numerous acquisitions, debt and equity recapitalization.

    At the start of his career, John worked as an auditor at Mercedian, P.C., CPAs, and BDO Seidman. He later went on to become a Controller at Independence Capital Partner, before beginning his career at iPipeline.

    John holds a B.S. in Accounting from Lehigh University, an MBA from Villanova University, and is a Certified Public Accountant. He resides in Malvern, PA with his two daughters.
