This integration allows an agent to authenticate an applicant based on their government-issued ID (such as a driver’s license). Within the iGO e-App, the user will be able authenticate on a desktop or a tablet. On a desktop, the user can send a text message (using iPipeline’s SMS service, Twilio) to an applicant’s cell phone. The text message will contain a link to an interface that will capture images of the ID. On a tablet, an agent can leverage the tablet’s camera functionality and capture the images directly (note: tablet users can also use the SMS feature if they choose). Images of both the front and back of the ID are taken.
Acuant does not store the images. Acuant proprietary technology authenticates the ID in a matter of seconds using holograms, watermarks, and other hidden security
features contained within the ID. Carriers can include a digital image of the ID with the application’s submission.
