iPipeline Appoints Lawrence Berran as Chief Executive Officer
Exton, PA — Leading life insurance software and content services provider iPipeline today announced the appointment of Lawrence C. Berran as the company's new Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Berran joined iPipeline as its President and Chief Operating Officer in August 2002 and has been a driving force in iPipeline's significant revenue growth over the past year with new sales increasing by over 300% due to a renewed emphasis on wholesaler and carrier markets. Mr. Berran will be replacing interim CEO Kevin P. Dowd who headed the CEO search committee and who will continue as chairman of the board advising the Company on acquisition and growth strategy.
Prior to joining iPipeline, Mr. Berran was a vice president at Internet Capital Group dealing with finance and acquisitions and he has held various management positions at Safeguard Scientifics and Pricewaterhouse Coopers. "During 2003, we re-primarily focused on basic blocking and tackling of core operations to prepare us for growth as the economy strengthens," said Larry Berran, "Our key objectives for 2004 will be continuing to grow our sales organization and executing on our product development plans to further bring value to our growing customer base".
