The following brief biographies for iPipeline's executive team provide insight into each individual's business career and salient accomplishments.

Tim Wallace

Chief Executive Officer

Tim Wallace is CEO of iPipeline and has over 30 years of experience in the software, service, and consulting industry. Tim previously served as interim President and COO of MEDecision Inc., a public software company. Prior to MEDecision, Tim was the CEO and Chairman of FullTilt Solutions, Inc. FullTilt had raised $22 million in venture capital and was recognized by Forrester and Gartner Research as the leading enterprise product information management software in the marketplace. Mr. Wallace has been a four time finalist for the Ernst & Young Technology CEO of the Year.

Prior to joining FullTilt in 2000, Tim served as CEO of systems integrator XeroxConnect, and as the President and CEO for XLConnect Solutions, Inc., where he was also one of the founders of the company. Tim and other members of the management team took the company public in October of 1996. Xerox acquired XLConnect in June of 1998 for approximately $420 million.

Tim was formerly a partner in The Waldec Group, a system integration company that was twice on the Inc. 500 list. He previously spent eleven years with Arthur Andersen & Company, where he was Managing Director of the Business Consulting Practice.

Tim received a Master of Business Administration from Miami University and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has served on the following boards: NitroSecurites, FullTilt Solutions, Inc. Knova, Inc., MEDecision, Inc., Migo Software, Inc., XLConnect, Snickelways and Serviceware.

Bill Butler

President

Bill Butler is the President of iPipeline. Bill Butler is an accomplished executive with more than 20 years experience growing technology companies in Content Management, Marketing Automation, Compliance, Security, and Social Networking. Bill’s track record of revenue achievement is attributed to employing a leading-edge sales process and his ability to hire, train, and motivate top performers.

Bill has worked with many of the top venture firms including Kleiner Perkins, Benchmark, Integral Capital, Sequoia Capital, and Norwest. He has grown firms from startup to over $250M in revenue leading to both public offerings and profitable acquisitions. He has managed worldwide teams including direct sales, channels, inside sales, marketing, and professional services.

In 1993, Bill joined Documentum with the release of version 1.0 and closed the majority of customers in the early years, allowing Documentum to "Cross the Chasm" in the Pharmaceutical Industry. Over the next 8 years, Bill led the Sales Organization into multiple industries, worldwide expansion, a successful IPO, and left in 2001 with revenues of $250M.

From 2001 to 2008, Bill worked with a number of early stage software companies including MarketSoft, Visible Path, and Orchestria. Bill has an undergraduate degree from the Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from Boston College. Bill works with local and international charitable organizations helping families transition from welfare to self sufficiency.

Bill Atlee

Chief Strategy Officer

Bill began his career as a life insurance agent with Fidelity Mutual Life where he gained valuable experience in implementing tax, legal, and estate planning techniques for high net worth individuals.

In 1992, he founded Direct Quote America, Inc., a nationally licensed brokerage firm that developed one of the industry's first automated term insurance shopping services. The company enabled consumers to receive quotes and purchase insurance through a call center.

In 1996, Bill co-founded iPipeline with the mission of developing technology tools that enable insurance companies and their agents to market, sell, and process insurance faster. His experience personally selling over 6,000 life insurance policies gives iPipeline an inside prospective on how to create and deploy software products that focus around industry behavior.

Bill graduated with a BA in Business Administration from Westminster College.

Larry Berran

Chief Operating Officer

Larry joined iPipeline in 2002, and was President and CEO of the company through July 2008. Over the last six years, Larry led iPipeline to over 400% growth, completed two critical strategic acquisitions, and raised $18 million from Fidelity Ventures and NewSpring Capital. Larry transitioned to the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer positions in July 2008 in connection with an acquisition of COSS Development Corporation.

Prior to iPipeline, Larry was a Vice President for Internet Capital Group (ICG), where he played an instrumental role in preparing ICG for its initial public offering. During this time, Larry was directly involved with organizing and implementing ICG's finance function, including raising over $1.6 billion through multiple issuances of publicly traded securities, as well as private financings, including the acquisition of interests in over 70 partner companies.

In 1997, Larry joined Safeguard Scientifics, Inc. managing its finance department and working with Safeguard partner companies — ChromaVision, Inc., DocuCorp, Inc., and OAO Technologies. From 1992 to 1997, Larry worked as a Certified Public Accountant with Pricewaterhouse Coopers, specializing in the Insurance and Financial Services industries.

In addition Larry previously served as a director of The Sycamore Group, Fort Washington, PA, and was a director and treasurer of the Philadelphia Children's Alliance, Philadelphia, PA. He and his wife Margaret have two daughters and reside in East Bradford, PA.

Larry graduated in 1993 from La Salle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Brian Seidman

Executive Vice President, R&D

Brian joined iPipeline in 2003 and is responsible for all aspects of product development and infrastructure. He led the teams that created the iGo e-App® solution and brought all other new product initiatives to the market on behalf of iPipeline. In this capacity Brian is also responsible for ensuring the reliable delivery and stability of all solutions offered by iPipeline.

A graduate of Villanova University in Villanova, Pennsylvania, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree. Prior to joining iPipeline, Mr. Seidman acted as an analyst, specializing in the development and evaluation of municipal financing plans for multi-billion dollar infrastructure projects throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. He assisted with the negotiation of loan and grant agreements on behalf of the United States Department of Transportation and reported directly to United States Congressional Committees.

He, his wife Carly, and two sons John and Alex reside in Ardmore, PA.

Steve Meade

Vice President, Illustration Solutions

Steve Meade is Vice President of Illustration Solutions at iPipeline. Steve has over 17 years of insurance industry experience, specifically in the area of sales illustration, both on the insurance carrier and software side of the business. Steve works with iPipeline’s illustration customers and prospects to provide guidance on solutions and to ensure success for all deployments of the iPipeline Illustration Suite. He joined iPipeline in 2008 from Accenture and has been an integral part of transitioning the acquired COSS organization and customers into iPipeline.

From 1996 to 2008, Steve worked at Accenture (formerly NaviSys) serving as Client Services Director heading up the professional services division responsible for Accenture’s sales illustration customers. While at Accenture/NaviSys, Steve also programmed actuarial calculation engines, served as a senior project manager, trained customers on self-developing their illustration platforms, and acted as a principal consultant guiding insurance carriers on business requirements and solutions. Prior to Accenture, Steve worked at Prudential Insurance as an actuarial associate on Prudential’s actuarial program, and as a senior programmer on illustration and internal test systems. During his career, he has worked closely with more than 40 insurance companies on their illustration initiatives.

Steve graduated from Lafayette College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Economics, and currently resides in Montgomery Township, PA. with his wife Leesa and two children Sawyer and Haley.

Michael Persiano

Chief Marketing Officer

Michael Persiano is Chief Marketing Officer at iPipeline. Michael is responsible for strategic and tactical marketing activities encompassing brand management, corporate positioning, demand generation, advertisement, market research, marketing communications, sales support, events management, public relations, and analyst relations.

Michael has a record of performance in building strong brands and markets for products and services companies. His marketing background in numerous industries spans more than 20 years and includes key executive positions at: Lockheed Martin, Computer Sciences Corporation, DecisionOne, FullTilt Solutions, and Fusion Sales Partners. Michael is an invitational member of the CMO Council. He currently serves on the imPACT Times (Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies) Editorial Advisory Board.

Michael was awarded an academic scholarship to Drew University for Ph.D. studies, earned Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts degrees from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and taught business and marketing communications as a Visiting Lecturer at Rutgers University. He is a black-belt in Tae Kwon-Do, and an internationally recognized bonsai master and author. Michael and his wife reside in Chester County, PA.

Daphne Thomas

Vice President, Professional Services

Daphne Thomas has 20+ years of experience managing and delivering software projects. She has worked in large and small environments, with diverse teams from all around the globe. She has experience transforming organizations, within both development and services, into high performing teams who deliver on time and within budget.

Prior to joining iPipeline, Daphne was VP of Operations at Miria Systems, an IBM FileNet partner, responsible for delivering ECM solutions to companies such as DHL, and the PA DEP. Earlier, she served as VP of new product Development at Siemens Health Services, where she led a multi-site development team automating the Workflow of Patient Care Information Systems.

Daphne was born and educated in Dublin, Ireland. She is a Computer Science graduate of Rathmines College, Dublin. She also attended Executive Management Training at Babson College and Duke University.

Daphne is a board member of the Networking Women in Computer Technology and is also a member of the Greater Philadelphia Senior Executive Forum. Daphne is a popular speaker at many local IT Forums and Conferences. She resides in Eagle, PA with her husband and 4 children.
